Our baby girl is 9 weeks old already--I can't believe it! We had her 2 month check up and her first big round of shots this past week. She weighed in at 12 lbs 8 oz and was 23.8 in long, both of which she is in the 95th percentile! I like to call her my chunky monkey. :) I was a little worried she was getting too chunky, but Dr. G said there is no such thing as an overweight baby on breast milk so that made me feel better! She got an A+ at her appointment--she is growing and developing well. What a blessing! I think the shots were the hardest thing to watch. Both Cambry and I shed a few tears. :)
Here are some things Cambry is doing right now:
* She is a great sleeper! She is still sleeping through the night (8-9 hrs) and takes four 2 hours naps each day--we credit this to the book: Babywise (and a good swaddle!)
* She loves to be swaddled. Lately during the night she has been finding a way to wiggle one of her arms out and then she wakes herself up with her hand in her face. My friend Sarah told me about the Miracle Blanket which is basically a super swaddle and that has seemed to do the trick!
* She is taking 5 oz each feeding.
* Cambry still loves her changing table. This is her favorite place to kick, talk, smile, coo, etc. It sure does make diaper changing more fun!
* She has become a lot more talkative lately. She has started to giggle and make this little gurgling sound in the back of her throat when she's talking to us. It is the cutest!!
* She is exploring her hands more now. She constantly has them up by her face and putting them in her mouth. I'm hoping thumb sucking isn't around the corner...
* We have noticed she has become a lot more active lately. She will lay on her back and will move her arms and legs like crazy while looking at her toys.
* Cambry loves to sing! A couple of her favorites right now are "This little piggy went to market", "Jesus loves me", and "The itsy bitsy spider." She also likes to do a special dance with Daddy to the song "L-O-V-E" by Nat King Cole. It is so funny & cute to watch!
We have been trying to get out more during the day. Cambry is quite the trooper & very easy to bring along places. Here are few pictures from our adventures!
